Hi there! Let me introduce myself, my friends call me Tmak because my name is Tiffany Mak, but I've never been a big fan of the name Tiffany. It just doesn't feel like the name suited me. Growing up I was a bit of a tomboy, I didn't like wearing dresses, or anything pink and hated letting my mom do my hair (totally not what my mom was hoping for when she found out she was having a girl, Sorry Mom). I have an older brother and as a child, I preferred to play with his toy guns over playing with barbies any day (kind of ironic that I became a makeup artist isn't it?) Like most people, my career goals have changed drastically as I was growing up. When I was in 3rd grade, I wanted to be a dolphin trainer because I love dolphins (of course now, I don't condone this as a profession, but more on that over coffee if you're ever interested). As I was graduating high school, I wanted to become a social worker. By the time I was graduating college, I had no idea what I wanted to do. So how did I become a makeup artist? It all started when my brother, who is a hair stylist, suggested that if I learned how to do makeup maybe we could work together as a team, so I decided to try it out and I realized I finally found something I really loved! I started getting training, certifications, and assisted other artists to learn as much as I could. In 2012, I started Tmak Artistry, a company that specializes in on-site bridal hair and makeup because we think your wedding day is a day you spend a lot of time planning but passes by so quickly that it's important to enjoy every minute of it. Our goal is to make sure all of our brides begin the day the right way. Getting hair and makeup done with your closest girlfriends should be fun, not stressful. With our services you won't have to worry about traveling to a salon or keeping track of time, we'll take care of everything!
